Weekend Warrior

This weekend has already been one of those cozy, happy, dreamy weekends and here's a few reasons why...

-I got to eat my sister-in-law's chicken alfredo last night.  Seriously this stuff is what dreams are made of.  It's thick and delicious, and I want it in my mouth again.

-Mike and his friends got second place in a glowball golf tournament and I have the trouphy on my end-table to prove it.

-I sent my mom a picture of my pretty new scarf and her reply was that I am a sexy little kitten.  Why yes, my mother is that awesome and hip.

-Women's conference tonight means free spiritual food and free dinner from the Relief Society.  Double score!!

-Farmer's market this morning was brimming with fragrant peaches. I'm not even sure if I like peaches, but I guess now I have a "heaping" bucket to determine that.

-Walking up a giant hill yesterday to get to my car and for the first time this semester I wasn't completely out of breath by the time I made it!  Who's knows what I can conquer next...marathons, triathalons, iron men, my options are endless really.

-Fall has arrived and that means that it is officially the most wonderful time of the year.  Autumn kicks bottom.

-Michael and I were both able to stay up late enough to watch Jimmy Fallon last night.

-And finally, I got to see my niece and nephew yesterday
That's my niece on the left, and my nephew on the right.  Just because they're not born yet doesn't mean that we're not already totally best friends.  Cuz we are.

Happy Weekending! :)

You know you're a full-time respiratory therapy student when...

1.  Fruit snacks start to look like lungs

2.  Trees start to look like lungs.  Really if you study long enough, anything can start to resemble lungs.

3.  Objects like vibrators and lubricant are just part of a patient's daily treatment.

4.  You don't want anyone to get hurt, but if they do, you hope that it happens during your shift.

5.  Watching characters on T.V. perform CPR is almost comical

6.  When you see an older person toting around an oxygen tank you have the urge to nudge them and say, "COPD, huh."

7.  You give people gas (tehehe)

8.  Words lik PEEP, PEP, PIP, and MIP mean something.

9.  Nothing sounds sweeter than a good strong cough.

10. This list actually makes sense!

Keep on breathing friends!

Reckless Abandon

This is Michael.  He's got what I like to call the reckless abandon of a child.  I envy his ability to quite literally jump into things.  This picture was taken in Glacier National Park.  That's right, GLACIER National Park.  Brrrrr.  He saw saw pretty blue water and wanted to jump in.  So he did.  He was cold, but very happy.  I think sometimes overthinking and stressing about things does no good.  Sometimes you just have to jump in!
